I've been busy this week designing for classes and a Mixed Media packet soon to be released on the same site as my Brickyard Poppies Mixed Media Packet...www.artapprenticeonline.com.
So a short video today introducing you to the projects that have come forth from my active muse this week! As always you can find most of the products I use at Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium. Check out Art Apprentice Online for lots of painting and mixed media classes. Art Apprentice will have a new catagory of mixed media soon so check back there frequently for my classes and others as well!
The Putnam County Happy Scrappers event is called Crop Out Cancer and it held at the Putnam County Fairgrounds in Greencastle Indiana on April 4th and 5th 2014.
Find out more information by contacting Jane Stephenson at happyscrapperscrop@gmail.com by the deadline of March 10, 2014.
an ATC I had fun with this week as well!
This is made with very old book pages, the Tim Holtz Pinecone die, the Tattered Leaves die, and new Tim Holtz industrial stickers. The photos are actually cut from a page in the Tim Holtz Laboratorie paper stack and inked with Distress Ink.
On a snowy sleety February day in Indiana, I added some color to my world!
The Stamps I used in the video are from Stampland, not Stamp Away. Also I stamped my images on cream colored cardstock after the video, tore them out and inked over them with the same colors of Archival inks that I used in the video. Then I glued them to the pages. I like this better because I can see the images more clearly.
You can buy the Dylusions spray inks, the Wendy Vecchi Archival inks, and some of the background stamps at Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium. The DecoArt Metallic Lustre can be found in retail stores or from me directly. The sentiment stamp I used, pictured below can also be purchased at Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium.
I inked and then stamped parts of this stamp on both pages.
Hi, Everyone! Here are the cards I made with last week's die cuts! And a quick and inexpensive gift for your Valentine...or yourself!
Here are two cards I didn't get into the video. The first one worked well as a sympathy card that I needed this week and the second is a good start on a birthday card, perhaps? Both using the die cuts from last weeks video.
Oh boy, some Mondays just shouldn't be allowed, right? My brain refused to gel today so I made a video showing you lots of dies and stamps and ideas for making Valentine Cards!
Hi Everyone! I meant to bring you a special video today with an in-depth demonstration of my new pattern packet called Springlights that included up close construction of the Luminary Die by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. BUT...things got a little TOO up close! When adjusting my camera angle to the downshot you are used to from me, I accidentally hit the zoom button...and you guessed it...I ZOOMED in way too close! I want to apologize for the quality of the video due to the close angle and even though 90% of the time I am on camera, there are a few times where I am out of range due to not realizing the zoom was on. This close angle does help to understand how to put the die together, but you may not be able to understand it all. If there is anyone who does not understand any part of the construction ( the roof) please leave a comment and I will shoot another, better video for you.
The candlesticks can be purchased at http://www.cdwood.com/9-in-Candlesticks-p/01-p490.htm online and you can also contact me about the DecoArt Satin Multi-purpose paint used on the candlestick and the DecoArt Texture Stucco if you cannot find them in your area.
The other products I used are listed under the video and photos and can be purchased at the Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium
Ok, can you tell we are almost through the holiday season? I'm getting a little silly! Come make a journal page with me this week...please overlook the camera battery issues! LOL!
