Art Journaling with Watercolor Pencils

I pulled out some things in my art room that I had not used in a long time and here is what I made!

Here is the detail in her completed eye.

Here are the leaves colored in before blending

The flowers with some burnt umber shading added.

The detail of her hair. I went over her hair a second time to add a darker shade and the curls.

This picture is before I added Carmine red to shade her lips, and poppy red to her cheeks.

This is after adding the reds.

My Creative Spaces

Today, I am sharing a little bit of my home with you. I have been steadily cleaning and moving furniture and hanging paintings for 2 weeks! Check it out:

I accidently hit the record button at the end and cut off in mid-sentence...typical!

I hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into my space!

Fun Paint Technique with a Cheryl Poulin Design

Cheryl Poulin designed this coaster set which was published in the now defunct Paintworks magazine in the August 2013 issue. I thought her process was so much fun that I want to call your attention to her design and show you the fun and easy process. If you have this issue, find it and paint her great design! If you don't I believe their website is still open and you may be able to get back issues. If not, try Ebay!

Tag and Stain Fun!

Just playin' around!

Here are some photos!

I liked the color and texture so I used some clear packaging material to stamp my flower and sentiment on with Stazon Black Ink. After drying I used Scor-tape to attach them and then made a tie with some lace!

More fun with Alcohol Ink Tiles

You've watched me do these before, and now I have a little extra tweak to show you.

Here is a link to a video showing how Donna Harcourt does it...I hope you can view the video:

Here is mine done Donna's way!

I added a little bit of DecoArt Metallic Lustre in the Iced Expresso color to highlight the clear embossed leaves.

It's Christmas week and I am finishing up some last minute things, but I am done with the baking!

Here are some photos of my last minute projects.

This is a a Tim Holtz tray done with a design by Chris Haughey. These trays are so versatile and makes a fun to paint and fun to use Advent Calendar! You can find Chris's book at www.cdwood.com

Due to Unforseen circumstances...

I was not able to make a video today.

I would like to at least share my pictures of our very successful day at the Tri Kappa Gingerbread Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday December 6th. It was a fabulous show and we sold out of my painted ornaments, and my partner, Donna Harcourt's lighted wine bottles, and my DoTerra essential Oils bath salts and scrubs sold very well too!

We sold lots of goodies, chocolate covered pretzels, white chocolate covered oreos, and more!

Also here is a photo of my Nativity Tray, Patty Rawlinson design, that is still for sale!

Word Block Package Tags

Here is a quick idea to add glitz to your gift packages. Pardon the format, had to reshoot after my Ipad told me after the fact that it didn't have enough space! (sheese!)

Here are a few pictures:
